Kathryn 'Katie' Cole

Kathryn Nicole “Katie” Cole, 22 of Ottawa Lake, MI, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family and went to heaven on June 15, 2017; after fighting a relentless illness with unwavering courage and keeping her spirits up, no matter how difficult things got. Katie was born on December 28, 1994, in Toledo, Ohio to loving parents Jeffrey and Dianne Cole. Katie went to Whiteford Agricultural Schools and graduated with honors before attending The University of Toledo. Katie loved arts and crafts and baking; especially peanut butter cookies. Katie also loved keeping up to date with current events and chatting about them with family and friends. She was the most caring, kindhearted, and amazing person who put everyone else above herself. Katie was a passionate and vocal supporter of Conquer Chiari and Ronald McDonald House charities. Katie’s amazing friends came every day to help her continue with her admirations, dreams, and goals. Katie is survived by her loving parents, Jeffrey and Dianne Cole; brother, Benjamin (Caitlin) Cole, and sister, Amber Cole (Neil Pandya); grandmother, numerous irreplaceable aunts, uncles, and cousins. Preceded by one sibling, Joshua and grandparents.
Visitation will be held at the Michael W. Pawlak Funeral Home, 1640 Smith Rd., (at Jackman) Temperance, MI. from 3-9pm on Wednesday, June 21, 2017. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, June 22, 2017, at 11:00am at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church, 8330 Lewis Avenie, Temperance, MI, where she will lie in state after 10:00 am. Interment services will be private. “Ta ta for now”
